Hello and welcome reader, thanks for stopping by. I hope all is well with you and your household. IF there is anything going on that is rough for you these days, just remember that there is a God who cares about you. The one and only true God, who’s name I greet you in “Jesus Christ” and indeed He cares. He cares about you when things are good to. He cares about all of His, as well as those who have not yet believed on Him, but will. For He sees your heart, and He knows what you will chews in time, and He would that not one would be lost, but that all would come to Him and be saved. As always remember you can email us at any time should you have questions concerning what I have written here; or maybe you have a prayer request. Well it would be my honor to remember a prayer request on your behalf, so don’t hesitate should this be the case.
Well, if you have read the entry on this page called “Salvation” you learned a little bit about my experience of receiving salvation. The best part about salvation for me, is knowing I am going to spend eternity with Jesus. Knowing that I have escaped death, Hell, and best of all, I have escaped being separated some day from my Lord and Savior. For you see the Lord Jesus, He has grown very dear to me, very dear indeed. There is an old song that talks about every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before.” Well, it isn’t because Jesus gets sweeter, He never changes. (Hebrews 13:8) However, as one gets to know the Lord on a deeper level each day, He seems sweeter all the time, every day!
Why, well I believe it is because as we get closer to Our Lord, He begins to show to His children more and more of His fullness. Not all of it, as I do not believe we can take that much in. But indeed He does show us His greatness. Step by step as He leads us on closer and tighter to Him Holding us fast to the vine. (John 15:5) If you take a look at John 15 as a whole, it is so beautiful. I’ll not quote it, you can read it for yourself in the holy Bible, but I will say this. That chapter likens those who believe unto branches, and it likens the Lord Jesus as unto the vine. There fore if one believes in Him, well, He bares something. Something that is likened unto fruit. Because we begin to act like Jesus would. Have power that He gives us. We can do all things through Christ! (Philippians 4:13) We can do nothing with out Christ. (John 15)
Ever since I was saved, I have been learning of these things, because that is when my journey with Christ began. And oh what a journey it has been my friend. In one way I am not different than any one else at all. I still walk and talk and eat and sleep and have troubles and make mistakes and learn exedra. But in another way I am so different. Different than those who do not believe, not better by any means, just different. And the difference is as follows.
I have something in my heart, something to believe in that is real. Something that makes me strive and work hard to be a living example of the living God on high. And the great thing is this is not just something about trying to do good. But rather through the Holy spirit, God’s peace (John 14:27) I am given a degree of spiritual power from on high. That I might bear fruit as the bible puts it. Now let us think about fruit for a minute. If it is good, it is something one can eat. It is sweet. Juicy, sticky, and fulfilling if you eat enough.
That is like life with Jesus. It is fresh, because Jesus is the light of the world and He puts a brighter picture in ones Soul. Gives him or her a better attitude if that person is looking to him. (John 8:12) He gives hope, peace and so on.
When walking with Jesus, one becomes juicy and sticky. I know from experience. As I live for my Lord, others are attracted to what I have. Not me, though they think it is me for a while, but it is He who is in me that ketches there attention and they want it. I am sticky in the since, One must stick to Him. There is not room to wander around to the left or write in things that displease our God. Thank God for grace when we, or on a more personal note, when I do this. For He always has mercy, but that is no excuse to live however I want and just expect His mercy and blessing.
Fulfilling, well He fills me up. When I am searching for something in life, have desires or unfulfilled dreams, He either grants me those desires, or fills up the voids with His peace as I seek Him. My point is this.
He is real. Receiving Christ is so much more than just a belief or a religion, it is real. Very real indeed. I know, because I have known the Lord now since I was a small boy as you can read on the salvation post. I do not know Him in His fullness, but I do know Him, and He makes my heart sing.
I could sing of my Jesus over and or,
Of How He has saved me from sin.
I will sing of His mercy and tell of His love, for He wonderfully took me in.
He took me in! He took me in! Now I am free from the wages of sin,
Happy and thankful to Jesus am I, Praise be to Jesus, He took me in!!
